National HIV Testing Day

Tuesday, June 27, 2017, 09:00am - 06:00pm
June 27 is National HIV Testing Day, a day to get the facts, get tested, and get involved. According to the CDC, around 1.2 million people in the United States are living with HIV, and one in eight people don't know they have it. Nearly 45,000 people find out they have HIV every year.  The CDC recommends that everyone between ages of 13 - 64 get tested for HIV at least once as part of routine health care.

The Drop-In Center, a program of the Council of Community Services provides free, confidential rapid finger stick HIV testing and finger stick rapid Hepatitis C screening by trained staff through use of OraSure and OraQuick tests. Both tests are highly accurate. The OraQuick rapid HIV antibody test can provide preliminary results in 20 minutes. There is no appointment necessary to be tested - just drop-in!
Know Your Status. Get Tested.
